Services
All physiotherapy/massage treatments are carried out at your home/yard, where your animal feels the most comfortable. Please note, all treatment sessions require veterinary consent. This is a legal requirement, and ensures that your animal is healthy and suitable for veterinary physiotherapy. Gaining vet consent is a simple procedure, please contact Louisa for further information.
What should I expect from a session?
An initial assessment involves gaining details of your pet's history and your goals for treatment, and time will be taken to get to know your animal. A thorough assessment, including gait, muscle, joint, and neurological evaluation, will also be performed. Following the initial assessment, a report of the findings will be given, along with a treatment plan. Please allow up to 1 hour, 30 minutes for the initial session.
Every subsequent appointment will begin with another assessment, in order to keep track of your animal's progress. Physiotherapy treatment sessions will involve the use of electrotherapies and manual therapies, suited specifically to your animal. Home management advice will be given, along with remedial exercises, which will help guide you on how to proceed between each appointment. Please allow up to 1 hour, 15 minutes for follow-up and massage sessions.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
